What this does
You talk, it writes the list. Speaking a handful of tasks takes about ten seconds, where typing them takes a minute and usually does not happen at all.
It also separates a rambling sentence into individual items, so "call the dentist and pick up milk" becomes two tasks rather than one.
How to use it
- Press record and say what you need to do.
- Speak naturally. You do not have to pause between items.
- Stop recording and check the list it produced.
- Edit anything it misheard, then keep the list.
Getting a good result
- Say each task as a short phrase. "Email Sarah about Friday" beats a long explanation.
- Somewhere quiet helps a lot. Background chatter is the main cause of errors.
- Names and places are the most commonly misheard words, so check those.
Your privacy
Your recording is sent to be turned into text, because that work cannot be done reliably on a phone. The audio is not kept afterwards. Your list itself stays on your device.
Common questions
Does it need the internet?
Yes, for the speech step. You can read and tick off an existing list offline.
What if it mishears something?
Edit the task directly. Unusual names are the usual offenders.
Can I add to a list later?
Yes. Record again and the new items are added.
